If I Fell

My second day in Trondheim was spent skiing with Katrine and two of her friends. Katrine's family has a cabin about one hour outside of Trondheim in MerÃ¥ker. We arrived the cabin, got clipped into cross country skis, and headed up the mountain. I've only been skiing on golf courses and the woods up north (what a Minnesotan thing to say!), so skiing on the side of a mountain was quite a challenge! It had also been close to 8 years since I'd last been skiing, so it took me a while to get the hang of it.

The hardest part was going uphill. It also took me a while to get comfortable enough going downhill that I could let go and just have fun. I took one heck of a spill when I hit a curve to fast, so after that I was more cautious. There was a lot of snow on the mountain, so my falls were cushioned.

Here are some pictures from our day:

What a view!
After skiing, we went back to the cabin and grilled burgers and made s'mores in the grill house.

Can you tell it got pretty smokey in there?

I was so wiped out from our busy day that I fell asleep in the car on way home!
