There's a Place

Travis left for Hoffman Estates on Thursday and moved into the apartment. Here is the layout:

We figured we would be in one of the smaller one bedroom apartments (770 or 815 sq feet) but we were lucky to get a large one bedroom with a den and half bath! It has new carpet but it is not one of the "Newly Remodeled" apartments showcased on the website.

The team provided (minimal) furniture: bed, dresser, dining table/chairs, sofa, chair, coffee table, television and entertainment stand. The team also provided a small set of dishes and very basic kitchen equipment. Trav and I went through my boxes of stuff from college earlier this week to determine what things we knew we wanted and what things I would bring down later. I think I will be bringing a lot more than we had originally planned!

Trav started training camp yesterday with fitness testing, dental check, concussion testing, and an orthopedic check. He skated with the team for the first time this morning, but doesn't have anything conclusive to say about the team yet.

PS- I have the flu and it sucks. Really, really sucks.
